Down with a fever

Chantal was down with a quiet alarming fever on Sunday evening, it was started around afternoon, when I noticed her palms were warmer than usual. Asked hubby, but he said it was nothing, so I thought I was just too worried. Then after her 2nd swim for a day (yupe, despite my worried I still took her swimming twice!), she was getting warmer, but again my hubby said she was probably too tired. So when I put her to bed, and read her some stories, I checked her temp and find out she was nearly above normal, it was 37.9. Told hubby about it, so he did checked her again, but said it was only 37.2, nothing to worry. Thou I gave her some medicine which was for a fever, but after an hour or so her temp increased to 38.9. So I took her out to the living room, and asked hubby to give her a med for a high fever, she refused to drink it first, but I managed to force the medicine to her, with a little bit of crying. When I want to take her back to the bedroom, she refused again by saying "na..na..na" (her word of saying NO). I knew if we stayed out, she won't be able to sleep, and she need her rest.

This morning, her temp was lower than the night before, thou she still had a fever, so we decided to take her to see her Paed, I did checked her hands and feet looking for any sign of HFMD, luckily she was all clean. Her paed also checked for those sign, checked both her ears for any infection, she said Chantal had only a viral infection which will only last about 3-4 days. Pheww..with all the outbreak of HFMD in Singapore, I couldn't help to be worried. Thus, that Monday we stayed home an rest, she barely eats but still have the energy to play with daddy who take MC for a day. On the evening her temp were back to normal again, and she slept soundly through the night.

Another Zoo Trip

Short trip to KL

We took a short trip to KL,went there on tuesday afternoon 18 march and flew back to Singapore on friday afternoon. We both had a good time, although most of the time we spend walking around the mall which was connected to the hotel that we were staying. It was hard to take a good picture of her nowdays, she will tilt her head to side every time I took a picture of her. So most of her pic will either be a little bit blurry or her head is tilt to the side. Hehehe...

Little Gym

This month will be Chantal's 2nd term enrolling to the little gym @forum, she has been enjoying the environment (meeting new peoples) and fascinating by all the games that they played which included playing with the parachute, balls, singing and bubbles. It wasn't an easy start at first, she was rather reluctant to do anything except clinging to mommy, and after a couple of class, she was then couldn't be stop from screaming from excitement and exploring her surrounding.

Disney on Ice

Bought this Disney on ice ticket and were planning to go with ompung because dh will still in china on that day. But to our surprise his business trip was shorten and instead of having to stay 3 weeks in china, their team can go home just after spending 1 week in Shanghai. And with ompung wanting to go back to Jakarta early to attend her family reunion gathering, my husband can actually accompany us to the show. It was Chantal's very 1st show, and she was so enchanted by them and kept pointing out and clapping her hands every time she heard people clapped. Although, it wasn't only her that was enchanted, me and my hubby was fascinating by the show too. We had the best seat too! it was only second row from the ring. It was definitely worth ed. Hubby said we should do this every year. Surely!

Water

I've been wanting to take her to water playground at Vivo when Chantal start to walk steady. So some of the picture was taken when she was around 14 months and 15+.

Singapore Zoo

At last, we successfully went to the Zoo with ompung despite the gloomy weather. It was her daddy's last weekend before flying to Shanghai. This was our 2nd attempt to the Zoo. The 1st one was cancelled because of the heavy rain, we were already at the parking lot when the rain came and waited for couple of minutes before decided that it won't stop raining and went to the great world city instead. However, this time although there was some rain, we had a good time and Chantal was having a good time too.

CNY in Jakarta

With Jakarta having continuous rain and parts of Jakarta is experiencing flood (including the street lead to Airport had been closed due to the flood), we were told by my father to cancel our trip if the situation wasn't improving. Luckily, just the day before our departure it was sunny all day in Jakarta and apparently they did something to reduced amount of water so that the airport can be open for public again.
My sister in law was here for The Police concert, and was stranded at the airport and had to stayed at the airport 1 night because her flight was cancel.

Am walking!!

It was the begining of this year, chantal had shown us some sort of preview of what to expect this year to come. No, we are not talking about something scary, it was her new habit. Walking on her own, only on the bed! It was new year eves, when we were putting her to bed. With all the routines, her dad will hold her hand while walking to the bedroom, then I will say a prayer with her, then a little bit of playing with the hand puppets, or a short bed time story by mommy, then suddenlly she will get up and walk from me to her daddy. And that walking will continued for a quiet sometimes, follow by a small tantrum when I told her it's past her bedtime, and it is time to lay down and sleep.
We both knew she is ready to walk, although she had the ability and the steadyness to walk on her own, she refused to try when she had her fall a couple of months back.
And now, she is walking everywhere, home, at the gym, and especially in shopping malls, in every store where she can get her hands on every single thing. :) Yippieee....

East Coast Park

Today we decided to have breakfast at East Coast Park, and maybe taking Chantal for a walk down the beach there.

Playing dress up

We managed to dress her in a couple of costume, some were bought by her daddy, and the japanese one were bought by her uncle tigor. She didn't want to stand up when we dressed her up, dunno why..she just refused to stand and prefered to sit and crawl..hehehe

Going to the little gym

I've managed to get a trial class for Chantal at My little Gym at the forum, her class called Birds for 10 mos - 19 mos baby. I was gonna enrolled her ages ago, but couldn't actually have the time do so, then today I prepared her for her afternoon class (3 pm) by pushing her nap and other things earlier than usuall. Although she only had half an hour sleep around 11, she was so happy and active. There were about 10 babies in the class, some of them already walking on their own, and some still on crawling phase. The instructor had a very good and proper English, thus it is easy for me  to understand and follow her inst, as for Chantal she couldn't take her eyes of the instructor, I think it's because she was talking in a certain voice which excite her :). At the end of the class, there were bubbles which remarkable made all the babies came very close and around the instructor and then the class ended with a goodbye song. I decided to enroll her for the next term, which start on January, and also taken up 2 other session within this term. I know it's kinda far away from where we live, but I like the environment, and I met a new friend!
Not only it is good for Chantal to be socialized and do some gymnastic, it is also good for me, as I would have to move and run and swing with her too. So it's gym for mommy too! :)
