Headache

Been having this massive headache since yesterday afternoon.
I was supposed to take a day off yesterday, though i still went to the office, coz i don't know what i'm gonna do if i stayed home the whole day.

This headache won't go away this morning, my dear is home today, he was coughing pretty bad since last night. Gosh..i don't feel so good, barely open my eyes.

My parents and my sibling will be coming back tomorrow afternoon from singapore.
I hope that everything will be ok, since my mom will need more time to recover from her operation. I will take a day off again tomorrow to pick them up from the airport.

Mom's Operation

My mom had to undergo an operation for her stroke. First my dad told me it wasn't a brain operation, but because some of the blood vessel were hiding behind another vessel, so another operation had to be done. The doctor said, for the other 3 vessel they have to open my mom head and do a procedure called "clipping", where they will clip the vessel to prevent the blood vessel from bursting. Thus, after the coiling procedure, where they put some kind of spiral at the tip of the 2 blood vessel (done in Mount Elizabeth Hospital), they moved my mom back to National Uni Hospital to have that "clipping" procedure.

The operation taken around 6 pm on thursday night, and ended around 3 am the next morning. My sister sms me around 2:30 and said the doctor had called and said the operation was going well, and that my mom will be in ICU until the next day.

Thanks God everything was going well.

As I was driving to work this morning, I came upon a thought that i can't help to write it down in here..

Have you ever heard people saying "let it be as God wishes". Here in Indonesia, you can hear lots a people said that (in indonesian phrase "kita serahkan pada Tuhan").People usually said this when they did something, and the result wasn't what they expected and they know they didn't quiet done it well, then they will said this kind of phrase.

Come to think of it, this is become such an excuse for every lack of success from doing you job right. Why can't they said that they didn't put more effort on the job, or they should have done it the other way around, or something else that says it was they own fault that they failed. God would want us to work hard to get what we want. Not just work and pray and hope that God will do the rest.

Anyway, it was just a small thought for this morning...
Gotta back to work...

The not so good news

My mom was cancelling her flight back to Jakarta from Makassar on Thursday, because she was feeling sick. So my dad told her to stayed there and take some medicine and rest. By friday, she was still sick, and her headache hasn't gone yet, though she already taken some medicine prescribe by my sister's friend who is a doctor.

My dad decide to go to Makassar on saturday after the wedding of his former boss's daugther. By then, my mom still very sick and was taken to the hospital by my sister. After seing a doctor, she have to stay in the hospital because apparently her blood preassure was so high. We were so worried back here.

When my dad arrived in Makassar around 7 30ish, he went straight to the hospital and was told that my mom CT scan showed that everything is ok. Though, her headache hadn't gone away, eventhough she taken the medicine for headache, it's gotten worst.
Thus, she stop taken those medicine, and has to wait for the brain doctor to have a look at her.

Apparently, the brain specialist came in the evening, and had observe my mom condition and look at the CT scan result, it turns out that my mom had a mild stroke. My dad told me about it on sunday when I talked to him and asked about my mom condition, i couldnt help to cry. It was such a shock that this would happen to her.

Yesterday, my little brother went to Makassar to renew his passport and accompany my mom and dad to Singapore for further check ups. Hopefully my mom will get well very soon, as the stroke didn't impacted on any of her motoric movement.

Let's all pray for her health.
Love you mom.

Interview with Linfox

This morning, my dear had a phone interview with Linfox, i guess it went well, though there's some interesting discussion on salary expectation. My dear was telling the interviewer who apparantely was also experience in wms project that he expect an increase of 50 - 75 % from his current salary. The interviewer said its kinda high for indonesian assignment, then my dear asked where exactly they will put him, and he said my dear will based in indonesian office, but will travel to bangkok, vietnam and malaysia for projects.

Although, the linfox guy said, he will discuss with the HR people, and proposed what my dear asked, and will follow up with further discussion, because with my dear experience the salary he asked was worth it.

However, the next interview will be with the IT director whom now still in australia, and will be back to bangkok around 18 april. So hopefully, if the director fill that my dear is the person they are looking for, another chat will be schedule with the CIO of linfox.

Well...we both are happy with the interview today..I, on the other hand, will be more happy if we can be based in Thailand instead of in Indonesia. I want our baby to be born in other country. Let's all hope for the best...:)

Second Visit to ObGyn

Haiyaaa....
Today both of us going to the ObGyn for my second visit.
My dear was so eager when he find out that the machine used for ultrasound is going to be use today. So we waited for more than an hour, coz the doctor was stuck in the traffic on his way from another hospital.

Around 11, the doc came with a smile in his face, so we went in, and he asked did i gain any weight...i wouldnt know, coz i havent weighted yet. So, another question was, any complains within this month? I said, just one, i had difficulty of going to the loo, so he wasnt surprise at all, as he was just shaking his head, and said, this is because the iron vitamine i've been taken.

So he just prescribe me another vitamines to help me with the constipation, though he said this medicine kind of hard to get.
O well, at least i've some medecine to help me with this constant worried.

After a little chat, he ask me to jump to the bed, so he can check my tummy...
Wow...I'm 13 weeks and my baby already form a full body, there's a head, body, legs, hands...O my God...I was so happy to see that the baby is growing so fast...:)

My dear was looking at the screen with the amazement in his face.
He printed us another picture of our upcoming baby...I couldn't take a smile out of my face...
Oyah...i've took my blood test result to my doc, and he said, everything is ok. Nothing to be worry about. Well, at least we know that i'm in the good condition and my baby will grow healthty.

Havent had a chance to scan both the 1st u/s and the 2nd u/s, maybe next week i will scan it and post it in here...

A fetus

This is a picture a fetus in a mother womb at 12 weeks old.Posted by Picasa

Baby stages by weeks

I found this url which shows how amazing God gift to humanbeing.
Since I'm on my 1st trimester (11 weeks 7 days),i took a a picture of a baby in their 9-12 weeks.

Do's and Don'ts

Today is my 11 weeks and 7 days..
Since my 1st visit to my ObGyn, i did some researchs in the internet and reads on alot of articles about what should or should not do, what to eat and not to eat.
Well, after a couple of days going through alot of forums for pregnant mother, i've decide that i just do and eat what ever my doc said, coz the more i read on those articles, the more i get nervous, and too much information will eventually blocked my appetite. Some said, it is recommended to eat a can of tuna, then i read somewhere else that tuna has mercury in it (??). Another article said, it is ok drink coffee in moderation, though some said it is a big NO to drink even a cup of tea because it has caffeine in it.

The good news from all the dont's was that it isn't true, that a pg woman can not drink cold water, or ice water, thank God! It got nothing to do with a baby being so big and a lot of water inside a mother tummy.

I also find out why it is hard for me to go to the Loo, every pregnant woman had this problam, as our hormones are changing, and all the little tiny bit inside our tummy is changing, then the routines of going to the Loo will also changing, this also might cause the stool to become blacker (yup! its tru). Another reason why it is so hard for me to go to the Loo for #2 is the iron vitamin that my doc had given me to take everyday. The solutions are to drink plenty of water (6-8 glasses) per day, eat fruits which high in fibre, eat foods which high in fibre (like cereals) or ask a doctor to prescribe you a stool softener or some laxative medicine.

Anyway, I will stop on reading the do's and don'ts and will continue doing what I do now, and maybe increasing my fruits intake and eating more vegies.

Next week is my 2nd doctor visit, my hubby will be joining me for this next visit :)

A beautiful creature inside me

Yes..
We are finally going to have a baby..:)
I was late for my periods almost 2 months already, and on friday 3rd March, I bought those Test Pack.
Not the 'sensitive' one but the HCG, coz I did bought sensitive and have my urine check when I missed my period, and the result turn out negative. Thus, I decide to get the more expensive one from Abbot Diagnotic.

On saturday morning the next day, before I used the test pack, my dear was telling me to be really carefull when doing it. So I did...and while waiting for the result, i was pretending not to be so eager about the result, and continue taking a shower. When my dear came into the bathroom, he was the one who check on it and said...Look, It's Positive!

We both were looking at each other and had a big smile on our face.
Finally..We were so worried before, but i think what we need is just a little patience.

I was so happy and wanted to tell my mother. Though, dear told me to hold that idea, until i see the doctor and have him/her said that I really am pregnant.

So I booked a doctor appointment for tuesday morning...
Lets see what happen...

10 Things You Need To Know About Mobile Computing and SAP

What is Mobile Computing and SAP all about?
Remember the last time you returned a rental car? The agent scanned you back in, and printed your invoice on the spot. That is Mobile Computing. This ability to interact with a system remotely has now been extended to include SAP.

Where might a company use it?
Warehouses are a great example … use it to track the flow of parts/product – and do your next stock-take using a hand-held bar-code scanner. Airline companies can use it to track luggage, Shipping companies can use it to track parcels, Oil and Gas and Utility companies can use it for field equipment maintenance.

How does it work?
You need a hand-held device (preferably with a bar-code scanner), a RF (Radio Frequency) LAN, some middleware, and of course your SAP system. The RF Network has a limited reach (for example 2,000 ft in open space, and 250 ft in a typical office/retail store) … but is expandable by installing additional RF LAN hardware. The middleware, in any event, is able to retain data should the mobile device go out of range – and resume the connection correctly once the mobile device returns into range.

What is the value proposition?
The value proposition is that the cost (of the hand-held devices, the RF LAN and the middleware) is less than the benefits accrued due to the additional accuracy, speed, flexibility and freedom that mobile computing delivers. In our view most companies could probably find some parts of their business where mobile computing would pay handsome dividends.

Do you have to write additional code?
Yes. Additional code is required on the hand-held device for the input and output screens. Whether this can always be ABAP is unclear, but it seems to be what the some of the vendors are suggesting.

two mangos

this morning, instead of going to SMU, i have to go to this new assignment.
apparently the project that i thought was a brand new one, was actually the old project done by sdi. it was a small distribution company, who main business is selling white goods such as air conditioner, refrigeration, plasma tv and so on. after almost a year since they go lived, a new person has been incharge of reviewing and gathering financial report, which lead to the discovery of issues related to the system implementation.

when we came to sdi early for a quick breifing on that matter, the previous project manager tried to explain that what was being address earlier by the client side was not totally correct. Though, i doubt since i know their reputation (sdi known for their notorious reputation), i wouldn't be surprise if what has been told by the client was true, and now they ask us to clean up their mess. So typical of SDI!

after a short briefing on what was going on, we head to mangga dua, and meets with the client. they don't look very happy, and i wouldn't blame them.

anyway, after 2 hours meeting, we finally come to a conclusion and told them to prepared some sort of review on what they want the system to work, and what business process need to be change or even scrap.
