Meet the father..(",)

Oyah...Yesterday was the first day I've introduced my boyfriend to my Dad. I've asked my boyfriend during our afternoon coffee, whether he wants to join me and my family for dinner and he agreed. So..we had our dinner @ Mings Restaurant at Setiabudi Building. The conversation between my family and my bf was flowing, and i like it. He seems to be comfortable around my family, which is good. My dad even engage in a conversation with him. However, our dinner was cut short, cause my older brother called my mom, and told us that his car has broke down. Thus..my dad, my mom and my younger brother rush to see him, to make sure that he is being taking care off. But at least we spend a nice dinner together.

Another thing...My boyfriend bought me A diamond ring, a solitare diamond ring. It's white gold ring with 0.33 cr diamond. Yes, it's indeed a beautiful ring, I couldn't believe he just bought it for me just like that.I should take a picture of it and posted later.

I showed it to my family when I got home from dinner. And my mom said, i had a funny looking smile on my face after i received such a gift. Both my brothers were teasing me. Even my dad was smiling at me. Anyways..it's been such a wonderfull day, and I have such a wonderful gift for this Christmas. He is the best Christmas Gift ever!

Papaya Salad

Travelling to other countries is always interesting, in term of taking some challenges when it comes to ordering food.

Thailand is famous for their tom yam kung (sorry for the miss spelled) or for their chicken in pandan leaves.
But there are more in Thailand's culinary, tonite i try their papaya salad for my dinner. Yeah it is kinda light dinner, since i took heavy lunch (i eat rice with pork ... again!!!)

About this papaya salad, the way they prepare it looks like our Indonesian “asinan”, they put all of the ingredients in a pot, crazed it and serve it. The ingredient itself contains papaya slices, of course the name says so,mango slices (coz i taste something sour) ... small dried shrimps ... and small crabs. Oh yaa some vegetables too ... cucumber, tomato, and long beans (it is kacang panjang in bahasa). Since Thai food also famous for their spicy taste ... a lot chillies are included.

I cant eat spicy food basically .. my girlfriend knows this very well, but i learn to. This papaya salad, although really HOT for me ...i eat them all,if you see the attached photo .. i took it when a had a break ... drink a lot of water .. i really let my tounge burned! ! But, at the end i can finish it.

I told my girlfriend about what i ate, she warned me that i may make my stomach upset ... but yeah i took the risk, hoping i won’t have stomach problem tomorrow since i am planning to go to the warehouse tomorrow...even it is Saturday.

Now, i am in my apartment already ... need to take a bath and try to have some rest. Good night sayang, i know you have some parties on this Friday night .. so we talk tomorrow again or if you want to ring me ... please do

The models are unique and they are really small too.

My girlfriend said that i should have buy them in case they are sold out since i didn't know when will be my next visit to Bangkok.
so, i decided to by them.

oh yaa, i buy also 2 packs of pipe tobaccos those i cannt find in jakarta ... one is the chocholate tobacco, my girlfriend also likes the aroma

Cipinang...again

Yesterday, I was @ cipinang's warehouse, my job was to find out why tira had a significant increase on work overtime. Since my boyfriend is in Bangkok, my boss wanted me to investigated the reasons behind all the fuzz. However, overtime at cipinang warehouse wasn't new for me. This matter had started since we were about to go live, apparently their new head of warehouse somehow have the tendency to force his employee to finished unloading within the same day. Regardless how many people during the shift (they have 2 shift), he demanded all unloading activity will be finished before they closed the warehouse. Which will trigger them to work overtime plus adding more casual helper to work. At first, i thought that situation will slowly change as their familiarity with the new system increased and as the high season (lebaran) will pass. but i guess i was wrong. Well..after my finding, i will probably talk to p jo about it, and suggest a new scheduling of loading and unloading.

Btw, matrix connection was totally going nuts yesterday, my bf wasn't able to contacted me at all, he was stressing out, ongoing and incoming messages was delayed or cannot be delivered. It last until today, all my friends messages came in this morning, my bf messages which he sent it this morning around 7, just came in while i type in my blog.

I've received an invitation for aussie nite which held tonite at wonderbar, i wasnt too enthusiast about it, though my mom suggested i go to meet old friends and do my networking. However, my boss just told me to come to SAP Gala Dinner tonite at Grand Melia. Maybe I go to grand melia first then go to aussie party.

Still miss my baby..

Diethelm Thailand

Diethelm Thailand Posted by Hello

This month i visit Bangkok twice for the same client, Diethelm Thailand. It is not my first Diethelm assignment since i was also assigned once to Diethelm Philippines. The assignment was simple (sounds simple) ... it is about warehouse management system WMS in SAP, well it is the area where my bosses think i am good at. ฉBut when i am here i notice it's not about WMS at all. It s more scary ... their system is just not good, too many modifications. Ok stop about my assignment!!!, coz somehow i have to fix them. Well i found something that interesting me ... look at Diethelm's logo. They have a red colour banana trees silhouette. Here they have these trees in their office area, but i can't remember whether they have also in the Philippines .. i guess not. And for sure not in Jakarta, since their office is in a high rise building. I am just wondering why they choose these trees as their logo. Diethelm has no business in agriculture, they manufacture and also do distrubution.ฉso, wait ... i ll find up the right answer for this, but meanwhile just enjoy my foto's.

thinking of you Posted by Hello

Slippery when wet

Surprisingly Jakarta’s sky had just changed its color from grayish into bluish, given that it’s been raining since last night. This morning was so cold and wet. I had to get up in the morning to go to the gym. The weather was like July in Perth.

Nothing had actually happen today, except I’m missing my other half who’s thousands miles away from me.

Sunday madness

It's been a while since my last posting, not that I've been busy and all. But I was not in the mood of writting anything.
Today I was in the mood of cleaning up, so I moved all the furniture, and place them in different position, mob the floor and clean all furnitures. My mom was helping me cleaning some of her small object which is fragile and easily broke when touch. Thus, if something happen to those silly object, i wouldn't be the one to blame, since she is the who cleaning 'em. While cleaning and mopping, i was sweating like i've run on treadmill for an hour. The reason behind all this cleaning and mopping was I woke up too early in sunday morning, i was gonna go to church, but then my dad said there was no 10 o'clock session, there're only 6 am and 8 am. Hahahaha...and i had already taken a shower and was ready by 8, but i have to wait for my mom to get dress and do her make up.

Oyah.. My boyfriend had gone to singapore to set for the exam, and he might be flying back to bangkok again for another week. Geez..its nearly holiday season, people supposed to chill out a bit, preparing for christmas and new years, my boyfriend have to work during christmas, coz eventually thai ppl don't celebrate christmas. I feel sorry for him, as he already makes plan with his dad and his family for christmas.
Anyway..I hope everything turns out ok, coz i know my boyfriend, he can get easily annoyed and frustated, and it may lead to him being angry at clients..hehehe.

One hour trip

I started my day with a thought of missing someone, yeah...I know it’s ridiculous, he was just gone for one day. Maybe because we’ve spend so many hours together, during work and all, I’ve never been with someone where I got to spend most of day with him. That's why i miss him a lot.

"Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling in at night. I miss you like hell." ~Edna St. Vincent Millay

I usually like to spend time for myself, at least once every week, doing some pampering, went shopping, hangouts with my girlfriends. Don’t get me wrong, I still do enjoy those thing, its just I get caught up with so many things during weekend lately that I don’t have time to do all those things.

This morning I had to go to Australian Embassy to lodge my passport, in order to get it evidence by the embassy. I had to catch a cab from my office, was drop near the embassy and had to walk there. The security was quiet nice and very helpful, though I had to let them took my xda, since it had a built in camera.

When I went inside the embassy, there was only one small counter where you can talk to one of the officer in charge, and a bunch of guys from travel agents waiting for their client visa’s application to be approved. Some of them know each other, assuming they see each regularly when visiting the Aus Embassy, and even call one of the officers in charge by name. I was standing behind all of them, while one person behind the counter sort of look at me, but then turn her eyes to somebody else, then when I took a step near the counter, she approached me asking “how can I help you ma’am?”. After I’ve told her I need to lodge my passport for an evidence, she said one of the officer will handle it, without even taking my name and my passport (or my ID card). After awhile, there was an Indian looking women came (she look more friendly then the other), she was busy handing outs passports to agents, then she look at me, asked whether I was being served, and take my passport and my ID card with her. After waiting about 15 minutes, the same lady came and gave me a receipt of my passport being held, and took my name and my contact number, she told me I have to wait until they contact me in regards of my pr visa. So, I went outside, get my mobile back from the security, walk towards MMC Hospital (the road between the embassy and MMC are still closed) look for a cab, with luck. There’s one cab a minute ago about to drop their passenger in one of the building near by. As a result, my trip between my office to embassy and back again only takes me about 1 hour. This wasn’t that bad considering lunch hour traffic.

Company Outing

@ sol marbella - anyer Posted by Hello

This picture taken at Sol Marbella - Anyer, on sunday 28 november, it was the last day of our company's outing. We arrived at anyer on the 26 (friday) evening, coz my boyfriend had to attended a presentation for the prospective client. Therefore, I spend some times at the hairdresser at mall kelapa gading, had ice blended caramel while waiting for him to finished with his presentation. By the time he'd finished, it was around 2 pm.

When we arrived, i have to talk to someone for room arrangement in regards of some of families and collegues that won't be coming. Afterwards, we check into our room, which was huge, it has a living room and a kitchen and a balcony over looking the beach (not really though..but you can see a part of the beach from where we stayed)

Around 6 we went to griya anyer to have dinner, we were planning to eat outside but changed our mind because of the "bugs life".

After dinner, we went back to hotel, had a warm shower, have some ciggarete outside on the balcony, then poured some chivas mixed with ginger ale (my boyfriend bought it with a good price) and watch tv and talk all night.

It was another beautiful and wonderful nite we've spend together.

The next morning, we were too lazy to actually get up in the morning to have breakfast and go for a swim (we were planning to do those thing..), so we end up order room service for breakfast and some coffees. By the time we finished eating our breakfast, it was nearly 12 noon, thus we had a quick shower and drove to griya anyer for company's lunch.

When we arrived, most of our colleagues are already there..but the foods hasn't been out yet, so we weren't that late. Some of their kids are so cute, especially ricky's baby. (I had pictures with him taken by boyfriend)

After lunch, all of us went to the hotel, some have to settle to their room, some have to arranged the events held by hotel management. We (me, yoko, agus and lia) spend time at our room drinking beers.

To make the story short, after dinner that night, some of our colleagues (including our boss) came over to our room. Boy..those guys can talk! Wine, beers and chivas was served, while my boyfriend had a called from Bangkok, saying that they need his assistant for warehouse management there. Yupe..they still talk about work over drinks. I knew straight away from what my boyfriend told me, that he have to go to Bangkok immediatelly. And my guess was right. While i'm sitting here at the office, writting this blog, my boyfriend is in bangkok working at a project, cleaning up someone elses mess. (",)

End of Lebaran Holidays

Yupe, it s over now, the longest Lebaran Holiday i ever have.
In 10 years, that numbers reflects how long i have been working after my graduation, this Lebaran Holiday takes too long.

Well, maybe the phrase "longest" holiday is not valid for everyone because during the economic crisis some companies also offered their employee to take all of their leave days during Lebaran Holiday (i think it was 1999 or 2000, gosh i cannt remember).
The reason was, there were companies that "almost" dying or the business at that time was not really hot during that time.
I knew it since the office where my best friend used to work also closed for almost 3 weeks during Lebaran (they can choose a combination of one week before and two weeks after Lebaran or the other way around).

Now, we think economy are already normal but we still got this long holidays for Lebaran. Why? Goverment mentions once that this is necessary to help tourism businnes to recover, since it was damaged by all the terrorism actions in this country lately.
I dont know how effective it was and i dont think there will be study to review it.

i spend these holidays, most of the time with my girlfriend. we had great time, enjoying Jakarta's traffic which we wish to be that easy in the future.
we went to malls, bars, cinema and visit gym several times (the last time was really new for me).
Now, everybody is already back in town. I havent seen the traffic yet, coz we go to the office really early today.

I know that the Lebaran Holidays has reached its end, but i am still not 100% on my speed.
Maybe i am too lazy, maybe i am enjoying being spoiled by my girlfriend during those holidays, maybe because i know within 4 weeks we will have another long holidays and i am not assigned to a project ...and there are still a lot more maybe's that i can write it down, but it s about lunch time, so i'd better stop and have a break!!

Domus

Domus Italian Restaurant @ Jl.Veteran 30 Posted by Hello

Me and my boyfriend went to this Italian restaurant called Domus, it's located at Jl. Veteran, it was my boyfriend idea that we had dinner there. The place was so cozy, it has a warm colour wall and furnished with old furniture, with a high ceiling above, lightning in there was not so bright, it almost a dim. The food was beautiful though, i had salmon with angel hair pasta and my boyfriend had raviolli with duck meat. We order some house's wine, i don't know what it called, but my guess was some sort of Shiraz. The amazing thing about the place, that the toilet was so so cold, when I entered i almost felt like a different weather, the weather in the ladies toilet felt like Winter. Well, the night went perfect, or is it because I'm with him which made it perfect? (",)

Drama Queen

Recently, I have been a bit of “drama queen”, on Sunday evening when I was being sluggish at home, I have found out that my residency in Australia which my parents bought and which I’ve lived during my study has been rented to my little brother’s friend. I was so annoyed that no one bothered to tell me about it. I couldn’t believe that I might be coming back to Perth to get my passport stamp as first entry, and have to stay at the hotel, when my own place will be occupied by someone else, how ridicules that’s sounds. It took me nearly an hour to calm myself down. I had a cold shower then told myself that everything’s going to be just fine. Is it really?

___________________________________________________________________

“Good thing happen to good people”, does this expression always accurate? Or it is just a presumption made by people whom fortunate enough to experience the good thing in life?

First of all, is this phrase means that good thing can’t be happening to not so good people? How can one judge another whether they are good or bad? What is the intensity of being a “Good People”? How can one fall into “Good People” category? Why can’t we just said, if you being good to others – others can do the same to you.

Second of all, what happen if “bad things happen to good people”? Let just say what if one of our dearest friend whom we know is a “good people” had misfortune and lost their car, then will the phrase be re-phrase as “not all good things happen to good people”. Or we simply said it was just one of those days, where one should just accept being mobbed or being robed. We often find ourselves asking why ordinary people, nice friendly neighbors, neither extraordinarily good nor extraordinarily bad, should suddenly have to face the agony of pain and tragedy. It is sad, how the suffering of other can be the happiness of another.

Sometimes there is no reason…

Wicker Park

I watch Wicker Park on Saturday afternoon on DVD, and I was so impressed by Josh Harnett performance. He is such a hottiest! He is tall, dark hair and had a face of “next door neighbor” with a cute dimple. Though, I think the movie was so much like the old “copy cat” movie. It has the same reflection upon envy, love and jealousy. Josh also starring in quiets a view movie, such as Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbor.

Ladder 49

Went so watch Ladder 49 at IXX. The movie was so powerful. I almost cried my eye out (almost!!).

Chief Kennedy with his fellow fireman.

"Ladder 49" is an exciting, powerful film that celebrates the ordinary men who put everything on the line every day. The film chronicles Baltimore firefighter Jack Morrison (Joaquin Phoenix) as he makes the transition from inexperienced rookie to seasoned veteran. As he struggles to cope with the risky, demanding job that often shortchanges his wife and kids, he relies to the support of his mentor and chief, Mike Kennedy (John Travolta) and his second family - the brotherly bond between the man of the firehouse. But when Jack became trapped in the worst blaze of his career, his life and the things he holds important - family, dignity, courage - come into focus. As his fellow fireman of Ladder 49 do all they can to rescue him, Jack's life hangs in the balance.

Clear Thursday

It has been quiet sometimes since my last posting. We've been busy with things at the office, my bf has been studying for his APICS exam and I myself, was busy playing around with customizing at ides. Although, alot has been going on around us..like the new president of indonesia and his brand new set of ministry. I'm not going to braged about those people who eventually (finger cross) or if i may say..sadly (?) will help the president to run this country.

Let's talk about what happen yesterday.
At lunch time, we went to a nice vietnamises restaurant called "do an" or was it "do'an", can't remember the exact name..it was located in Artha Gading Mall (another new mall). The food was good, despited it tiny space. We ordered broken rice, which by the way was served with chicken instead of pork (the waitress said, they haven't prepared pork meat yet). My boyfriend agreed that the meal will tasted even better, if they served them as pork rather than chicken. We also ordered some spring roll, o man...(we sure do loves those spring roll aren't we dear?).
Geez...talk about it makes my stomach grumbled hehehe..and its nearly lunch time, sadly.."do an" is too damn far from our office. Yupe...we're back at the office again.

Anyway, lastnite after work we went to my lil bro's friends pool bar, i should've take some picture of the place though...the bar is at the 3rd floor of Sport's Mall Kelapa Gading, 2 stories with a wide kinda wierd bar table, which then we found out why did they design their table bar to be so wide (dancing bunny? hehehe). The bar itself has not yet open for public, so its kind of like a trial opening, given the "ramadhan" situation kinda thing. The soft opening will be on H -2, which means 2 days before Idul Fitri. Surprisingly, compared to last saturday..the bar was dead, and from what i've heard, on monday and tuesday..they only gain 500 rupiahs per nite. Not a good sign huh? Hopefully, as the world of mouth spread, they will get more customer coming during weekdays.

Euthanasia

Good Life...Good Death

Euthanasia. I've been hearing about this subject alot since a couple of days ago, no...even since a couple a weeks ago from television. It has not been a popular subject amongs people, since our government have law against euthanasia.

The subject about euthanasia has been brought upon as a contraversy since I was living in Australia. I remembered watching 60 minutes about how an old lady wanted to end her life because she was in a great pain, and she cannot go on with the suffering. Therefore, she asked for a doctor mercy to end her life. She was about 60 years old, had a breast cancer and been living in a hospital for nearly 2 years. If I'm not mistaken, Australian government ruled against it, as they see euthanasia is a medical word of "mercy killing". Thus, the old lady eventually died not from euthanasia, but from all the pain she is experienced.

Let us reflect to what is exactly the meaning of Euthanasia.

According to my research from
http://www.knowdeep.org/euthanasia/. Euthanasia is mercy killing, or intentionally ending the life of someone who is hopelessly sick or injured in order to save them from suffering. Euthanasia meant an easy death without severe suffering in ancient times. Sometimes decisions to stop a treatment like dialysis or breathing machine are also called euthanasia, but they really are not. There is a real difference between a patient refusing a treatment and a patient requesting to be killed.

Is this true?

Most cases of euthanasia involved elderly person and person's who likely to suffered brain damaged. It is interesting to note how often the right-to-live campaign versus the right-to-die campaign has been dramatized through higher authority such legal ruling from High Court. In some country like Netherland, their Government has ruled the Practice of Euthanasia. Euthanasia in the Netherlands has gone from requiring terminal illness to no physical illness at all, from physical suffering to depression only, from conscious patients to unconscious, from those who can consent to those who cannot, and from being a measure of last resort to one of early intervention. (
http://catholiceducation.org/articles/euthanasia/eu0014.html)

However, dispite my own opinion reflecting this subject, shall one obey God and let one die a natural death?

between warehouses

you may think that we abandon this blog! No, we are very busy lately.

we had a meeting with a company who has run wms for years (they said it was up in 2001) but the set up the had is, sorry to say, really primitive.

those things that can be automated in the system, are currently done manually. While from the warehouse prospectives there are a lot of stuffs can be improved.
it is kind of challange if they later invite us as their implementation partner for wms.
this company is a manufacturer of consumer products, while they also supply to the end customer.
so i am expecting the goods movements are most likely bulky (typical of a manufacture finished goods warehouse activities) but somewhat also in cases or cartons since they send also their products to end customers.

so we'll see.

a view from the top

a view from the top

guys...this picture was taken around 10.00 am, so everybody hopefully already in their desk doing their works or ... internetting (like what i do now).

dont expect that you will get the same view if you pass suriman around 04.00 - 07.00 pm, coz it will be like vehicles parade. but still it is a nice view though from our office, but it is a bad one if you are there in the traffic.

cheers

great fellow

Jerry

this nice fellow is jerry, named after jeremy thomas (an indonesian actor). we bought this puppy from taman lawang for 70k .. the seller said that he is a beagle puppy, ofcourse we didn't believe him coz beagle usually comes with a tricolor combination.

anyway, he is such a funny puppy likes any other puppy does. unfortunatelly we had only the change to keep him for a short time, he died coz he got parvo, one of the worst puppy disease.

but we got a lesson to learn, never ever named yr puppy after a famous actor coz their names bring bad luck to your pets!!.

fishing

fisherman

this picture was taken somewhere in 1998 in a small island in front of makassar coast.
i think it was my second visit to that island, the first visit was 4 or 5 months earlier.
i remebered in my first visit the coral was really pretty, you can see the fishes swimming around between the corals.

The second time i was there, those beautiful corals were gone.
the corals were being moved, bombed and sold as aquarium decoration.
the impact was immediatelly, the fishes left that area and the fishermen have to sail further more, away from their home.

anyway from that picture, the fish i had in my hand ... it was not my catch, ok the fishing rod is mine and i still have it. but i bought that fish (and some more) for our lunch from a real fisherman.
the fishes are really fresh, i cannt remember what kind of fishes we had. but one thing for sure it was damn delicious.

well, i dont think i want to visit that island again. it's too hot ... no shade to hide yourself and you cannt do fishing too.

hope there are still islands to visit, where i can enjoy the corals and also do fishing.

I love Monday

Woke up around 5 am this morning, had some tea..and rushing off to the gym. Driving around Gatot Subroto and Sudirman early in the morning feels like heaven. However, note to self, never..ever..open your window down, eventhough you think it is such a beautiful day..coz you may ended up walking around with a black face on your face.

Gee...it is indeed a bad idea, opening a window expecting a fresh air coming in, when all you got are smoke from broken bus's radiator. I finished gym around 8 and straight to the office, lucky for me, my office is about 5 minutes distance from the gym.

I've decided to changed my gym scheduled cause I'm begining to hate going to the gym after work, the place will be so packed, some ppl are really working out, but some people pretend they are working out. Yeah...i know, gym is one of the perfect place where you can meet new friends. Though, in my gym some guys are too slizzy and some are too gay...hahaha.. go figured!

Male Radio - 97.10Mhz

Male Radio - definitely not one of the most popular radio stations in town especially for young people and women, but i am one of their loyal listeners since 1995.

frankly speaking, i am not listening to their music, coz it plays only old rock music (some of the songs maybe were famous during years 60 till mid 70). Sometimes they have rock music from 80's-90's too, but it is really seldom.
The only reason i listen to this station is coz they have this crazy guy as their presenter for the morning sessions.
He always make funny and unexpected comments on everything, he can even make jokes on his boss, father in law, his wife ... well i am not sure whether they are really true .. but those joke will cheer you up even when you are stuck in traffic.

he used to have monologue conversation, although lately he mentions other name (but it is a question mark whether this person is really exist, well his friend sometimes whispers too and he is also as crazy as the main presenter).

the SMS technology completes his morning speech, coz everybody can send their comments.
this "one and half way" conversation, he with his microphone and the audience with their SMS, can make you smille (it is not a good view when you re driving alone ... people may think you are crazy though).

other remarkable thing is the way he laugh .. it is kinda annoying. my sister hates it very much, but it makes this guy is so unique.
we even try to describe how this guy looks like and we came up with an imagination that he must be fat, bold and have a mustache, well till now wi never find out how he look like.

so, if you want to try, tune your radio to 97.10 Mhz between 06.00 - 10.00 AM weekdays but make sure IFEB is the presenter and no one else.
you will have different morning experience.

one night stand

one'-night stand' Pronunciation: (wun'nIt"),
1. a single performance in one locale, as by a touring theatrical company, before moving on to the next engagement.
2. a place where such a performance is given.
3. Informal.
  • a. a single, unrepeated sexual encounter, as one lasting for just one night.
  • b. a participant in such an encounter.
after hearing what's discussed on the radio, i was surprised on how many people was given their opinion regarding how acceptable is a "one night stand" for the modern society.
we, indonesian people, usually proud as being an 'old fashion' when it comes to sex and everything around it. however, the new generation of indonesian will talk about it freely during lunch with a couple of friends, or even discussing it with their parents. parents used to said it is "taboo" to talk about it, especially if you're not yet married.
obviously, indonesian's preception regarding sex is not the same as it used to.
is it because we are more open to what's going on around us?
or is it simply because we become to "westernized"?

rear mirror

demit..once again, my car's rear mirror was stolen tday! i can't believed that one can experienced being robed twice..ck ck ck.
today, as i parked in front of my bf's house alley around 9ish..my right rear mirror was suddenly gone!
@#$%^&* f***! i didn't notice it until my bf asked me where's other rear mirror, it was around 10ish.
All i can say was..."gosh, someone must just stole it!" and didn't say anything for about 10 minutes.
My bf was very angry about it, though..he knows that we can't do anything about it, except call the insurance company and report it.

anyway..we ended up drove down to a car dealer where i bought my car, and asked the owner to help me contact the insurance company so i can get cover immediately.
the good thing was, the car dealer's owner knew the insurance company' owner, as they were school mates, and the arrangement was that my car will be fixed at my office around 3pm-5pm.
the person who in charged of fixing my rear mirror had made a mistake by bringing a wrong set of mirror, thus, he have to go back to get the right one. Eventually, he came back with the right one, although.. by the time we leave the office, it's already 5:30 pm.

what a day huh? one whole day just spend driving around..i think i've spend most of my life on the road, going from one place to another.

surabaya

I just got back from surabaya this morning. I was engaged in a conversation with the cab driver on the way home from the airport..He was so happy and talkative, which then surprised me when he told me that he was once an abusived father to his 3 children 4 years ago. He offered me to join his church's seminars which held sometimes around mid october. He was tellig me stories about his life, how his oldest daughter was dissapointed at him and how his wife who once was a muslim convert into christianity always prays to God everynight that her beloved husband will quit smoking and be a good father to their family.
He also told me that tomorrow his daughter will get the result of her stewardest test for one of Indonesian biggest airline "Garuda", she is only 19 years old. Wow..a young girl who had to work to help her father put her little sister through college. He was so happy when he told me all of these thing about his daughter, i saw a spark in his face, a proud father. I was so moved by his story.

Now i learned that "prayers will work wonders" and "if you want to dream, dream big"

neruda's

I do not love you... by Pablo Neruda
I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never bloomsbut carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance, risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;so I love you because I know no other way
that this: where I does not exist, nor you,so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.
i was introduced to pablo neruda's work when i was living in perth, the day i first read his work was the day i was introduced to the beautiful art of writting. yup..i considered writting as a beautiful art.
I remembered how i spend my quiet days during my uni year writting simple poetry on my scrap book, which i carried everywhere i go, which then i lost all of 'em when i moved back home (!#$%&*^).
i admitted that sometimes what i wrote doesn't make any sense at all..hey, at least i'm trying to let everything out of my mind by writting it down.

Radio's conversation

Like any normal day, i was driving to work taking a freeway around 9:00 am and listening to my favorite radio station HR Fm, when suddendly their conversation was taken up my attention. They were talking about marketing strategy and how people will get frustated when a marketing people came up to them and trying to sell them a products or a services.

Have you ever get pissed off just because a marketing person (whom nowdays are called sales person) trying to sell you a products/services when you already told them that you are not interested, and they will keep calling you work, your house and even calling your cell phone?
Well.. I have! They were trying to sell some membership cards. The amazing thing about those kind of people was how they will eventually make you feel bad if you did not buy what their offers.

I don't blame them if they are really pushy, they were giving a target by their superior. And if they are not succeded, they will get laid off by the company. It is kinda sad, but it is how it is. Although, in order to sell a products/services, they will need to keep one thing in mind...it is
"how can you make people buy your product?" not "how can i sell my product?"
The most important thing when trying to sell a product is how you touch customer's heart.

The new era of marketing strategy is customer centric, where the focus will be on "customer" satisfaction and customer "needs". DooH!! I sounds like a marketing expert wannabe huh?

Anyway..back to the conversation on the radio, rumours has spread amongs people, there is another method of marketing which is called "tanda tangan diatas perut". This kind of marketing strategy involves severals beautiful womans whos job is to persuade clients to the point where they are willing to sign a deal with the company. This strategy usually applied to a contract that involve big money, a million dollar deal. Hmm...is it true? I will not comment on that until i do my research. :-)
